Because I have young children, I chose employment that allowed me to work from my home. I have a home office, which is quite large. I had a small desk in the room, along with a couple of mismatched chairs. It was fine for the work that I did. Since it was computer work, no one could see my office furniture but me. Then I received a promotion, which allowed me to continue working from home, but required me to meet with clients on a regular basis. My small desk and mismatched chairs were no longer going to cut it. I went shopping for office furniture. I just couldn’t seem to find a grouping that I liked. If I found a desk that I liked, I couldn’t find chairs to go with it. If I found chairs that I liked, I had trouble finding a desk to go with them. After visiting four office furniture stores, I finally found a set that had my name written all over it. It was a beautiful set of teak office furniture. Ten clients have visited my office since the furniture was delivered. Every one of them commented on my desk and chairs. They told me how beautiful and stylish the grouping is. I politely thank them for the compliments, but they aren’t telling me anything I do not already know. I made a great choice!
