Aesculap is the leading surgical instrument manufacturer for general surgery, neurosurgery, cardio vascular surgery, micro vascular surgery, ENT and reconstructive and plastic surgery. Recently, I was attending a medical conference for surgeons where I could not help noticing the continuous reference to Aesculap Surgical Instruments in the various topics. Special mention was made to Cranio Absorbable, an instrument widely used in neurosurgery. One of its primary benefits was the elimination of stitches which is supposed to be hazardous under normal circumstances. Another product is the Cranio Fix 2 which is used to fix sutures in the cranial bone and the process is fastened by approximately 40%.
