I’m banned from that store for like 2 years, and the stuff I stole were like over $200.
Take my advice guys, never shoplift, you will seriously regret it.

Did you ask your dad what the paperwork said. I am sure that has the consequences written in it.
If the paperwork said Nordstrom’s wasn’t going to call the cops in exchange for your agreement not to come back into the store, then you are really lucky.
It’s really bad to have anything like shoplifting on your record. No one will ever fully trust you–colleges, employers, etc.–but it sounds like you’re now aware of that.
If they did not call the cops and they released you to your dad, then they courts will never know this incident happened. They can either prosecute you (call the cops) or admonish you (call your parents). Since they only called your parents, your parents will have to pay Nordstrom back whatever the cost was of what you attempted to steal plus an amount chosen by the state.
Don’t worry though, it won’t be on your record and no one will know about it, but you and your parents…and the people that caught you. Just make sure you do stay out of the store for the 2 years though, because if they catch you in there, they will call the police and you’ll be charged with criminal trespassing.
They had your Father sign a civil-demand notice. Which means they will take the total you stole and add 33% to it and ask that your parents pay them back even though you did not get to keep the merchandise (This is how they recoupe their losses for paying for Loss Prevention. They will give a certain amount of time for that to be paid, if your parents fail to pay them, then they can file criminal charges against you and have you arrested. They also most likely had you sign a trespass warning letter, whcih means you are NEVER allowed on their property again, if you violate the warning, they can and will have you arrested for defiant tresspassing, which is a felony.
